Public roadmap for MAIA

What's next for MAIA: Projects, MAIA 2.0 and our outlook through the end of 2026.

MAIA keeps evolving. We want to make company knowledge easier to access and help you turn answers into useful results. Here are our current priorities. Dates and scope reflect our current plans and may change during development.

For improvements already available, see the Release Notes. These include the redesigned model picker with adjustable response effort introduced in Release 1.25.

Projects are intended to bring related files, knowledge and conversations together in a shared context. This will help you continue working with MAIA on an initiative without having to assemble the same background information in every chat.

MAIA 2.0 is our next major release, with a redesigned interface and new ways to make MAIA part of your daily work:

  • New UI and UX: A complete redesign of the interface and user experience to make everyday work with MAIA simpler and easier to navigate.
  • Extensive MCP support: Through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), we plan to offer many more integrations and connect MAIA more closely with the tools you already use.
  • A complete skill system: MAIA is intended to use skills to support recurring tasks more effectively. We plan to make custom skills shareable and reusable across your company.

We are also working on many improvements behind the scenes.

Our development goals for the rest of the year include:

  • Canvases and artifacts: Present results more clearly and make them easier to refine together with MAIA.
  • Better file generation: Enable MAIA to inspect its own generated files and refine them over several iterations to improve the quality of results.
  • More file formats: Support additional formats for both uploaded and generated files.
  • Diagrams and formulas in chat: Create diagrams and mathematical formulas directly in conversations and display them clearly.
  • Deeper internet research: Improve web search and browsing so MAIA can explore online sources more efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Updated APIs: Enhance the Public API and provide an OpenAI-compatible Model API for direct access to the models available behind MAIA.
  • Scheduled execution: Run workflows, prompts and skills in the background at recurring times.
  • Better personal memory: Improve personal context so MAIA can support the way you work more effectively.
  • Large datasets and long conversations: Improve performance and efficiency when processing extensive content or continuing chats over time.
  • Improved image recognition: Better understand and analyze images uploaded directly in chat.
  • Share chats within a workspace: Make conversations accessible to other people in your workspace.
