1.25 · model selection and workflow files

Use the redesigned model selection to configure your model, effort, and Verify settings, upload files to Workflows, and benefit from improved automatic model selection in Auto mode. · Published: October 15, 2026

With release 1.25, you can choose your model and response effort more easily through the redesigned model selection in chat. Auto mode now does a better job of selecting from the available models. You can also upload your own files directly to Workflows and share them with others.

The redesigned model selection in chat lets you choose which model MAIA should use for your request. You can also adjust how much effort MAIA puts into thinking through your request, from quick responses to particularly thorough analysis, and enable Verify directly from the same menu.

When you reopen a chat later, your most recently selected settings will automatically be active again.

In Auto mode, MAIA now does an even better job of selecting the right model for your request, taking the latest available models into account. You can see which model Auto selected directly on your message.

You can now upload your own files directly to a workflow, using drag and drop or paste, just like in chat. A workflow's files are stored in a shared collection and automatically shared with everyone who has permission to run or edit the workflow. Users with "Can run" permission can read the files, while users with "Can edit" permission can also modify them.

Files uploaded for a single run remain in your own "Chat uploads".

We also fixed a bug that could cause the chat to appear blank when quickly switching between conversations while a response was being generated. In addition, we've fixed several other minor bugs and improved stability.

All new features are available in all workspaces. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out.
